Master your Virtual Talk

With less in-person connecting, a speaker online must be aware of techniques to compensate for these communication limitations.

With less in-person connecting, a speaker online must be aware of techniques to compensate for these communication limitations.

  1. Make yourself center stage in your screen with proper lighting.

  2. Emphasize your core points with inflection on the content words. Example: “I am PASSIONATE about..” “to DRIVE BUSINESS”.

  3. Connect your words.

  4. Don’t rush! People who talk fast appear nervous and less confident. Take your time and your message will be more memorable.

  5. Pause to emphasize, as well.

  6. SMILE when it fits in the content. :)

  7. Maintain good eye contact with screen/audience.

  8. Begin and end on a positive note.
